About Sheepwalk

Jenny Headen Matt Headen Sheepwalk House

Hello from Sheepwalk House!

You’re incredibly welcome to Sheepwalk House. Over the last number of years, we’ve spent every hour of the day renovating this beautiful 18th Century farmhouse and four accompanying cottages into a beautiful bespoke getaway only a stone’s throw from Dublin. We look forward to welcoming you and yours to our home for your next staycation

Jenny & Matt.

Looking for a relaxing self catering home in Ireland? You’ve come to the right place! We can’t wait to welcome you to your home from home.

Sheepwalk House is run by brother and sister team Matt and Jenny Headen. Jenny is a music and events publicist, while Matt has spent the last 10 years as diving instructors in far-flung places across the world.

Newly opened in July 2020, we can’t wait to offer you a warm welcome to Wicklow. We live on the grounds, tucked away in small cottages so we are always on hand for anything you may need - whether it’s local tips, ideas for day trips, tour guides or local must see sights - we’re delighted to help.

The grounds feature a large 8 bedroom main house and 4 cosy self catering cottages - all set on 9 acres featuring a poly-tunnel, an orchard, 16 raised beds, bee hives, sheep, hens, pheasants, gorgeous trees, fabulous wild flowers and an abundance of birdsong. Sheepwalk House is the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy a slower pace of life. Whether you wish to hike in the mountains, splash in the sea, ramble in the forest or just curl up with a book in front of the fire, the options are endless.

There’s lots of lawn for kids to play and explore - and they’re welcome to come help us collect eggs from our hens in the mornings.

Avid travellers, we’ve stayed in many different spots over the years and have taken inspiration from our favourites. We’ve stocked the house and cottages with things we’d want on a trip away.

Our cottages are comfortable and cosy. They are not luxury cottages but each one has its own charm and character and are kitted out with lots of nice things, with comfy beds and spots to settle in and take it easy.
